SCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS EARLY CAREER DEVELOPMENT (SEED) WORKSHOP 2026

August 4 – 5, 2026 @ Omni Orlando at ChampionsGate, FL

The 2026 Scientists and Engineers Early Career Development (SEED) workshop will be held on August 4th (afternoon) – 5th (afternoon), 2026 in Omni Orlando at ChampionsGate, FL prior to the UKC 2026.  Since 2013, the SEED workshop has been offered by the KSEA to foster and mentor the career development of junior KSEA members, including Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career professionals.

About 80 participants (including Ph.D. students, postdocs, junior faculty, and early-career professionals in national labs & industry) will attend the SEED 2026 and about 15 mid-career and senior professionals will join as mentors. The program will provide opportunities to discuss career development and emerging topics in the fields and cultivate the development of mentoring relationships among participants.
